Our best yacht is always the next

Giorgio Vafiadis started his career in yacht design 35 years ago. In 1980 he found STUDIOVAFIADIS. His first superyacht, the 46-meter, Gran Mudder, was delivered 3 years later in 1983, a huge vessel for that time and a great success for the newborn studio.

Since then STUDIOVAFIADIS has created some incredibly exciting yachts.
In 2012 he was joined in his practice by his son Stefano Vafiadis, awarder as the young designer of the year in 2013.

STUDIOVAFIADIS objectives are clear: not only assisting and supporting its clients through innovative, comprehensive and efficient design, but maximizing the performance of services through the understanding the culture of the client, his lifestyle and esthetics critical issues.
Yachts are complex entities which require an optimization and appropriate use of space.
Owner and guests must be fully pleased while the crew must be able to provide the service and properly maintain the vessel and its systems.

O’ptasia, 85 mt yacht, has a very strong “charter” attitude and could not be an extravagant or controversial in the design.

The main challenge was to create a yacht that was so perfect in her style, that could be loved by any possible owner, with modern or more classical taste, moreover with different attitudes and lifestyle.
